My Classroom 2020

The carpet I made to reinforce vocab during the reading and writing workshop.
Seats I made from old tires, carpet circles from Ikea, and nautical rope from Home Depot. Students loved them! One of the many flexible seating options they have to choose from.

Independent reading spots and small group book talk area.

Student seating areas...flexible seating options at tables... student's choice.

Life is a Mathterpiece Board...Students share real-world math experiences from home each day during morning meetings.

Flexible seating option...bistro table and stools

Front board containing Daily Schedule, ELA and Math Goals for the Day,
and List of Materials needed for gathering for minilessons during
workshop times for the day.

Hi Everyone!
School year is off to a great start here…I absolutely love my class. They are a wonderful group of children. They are very curious and so serious about learning. My classroom is getting there…some things I still need to iron out.  Take a peek below.

Classroom Setup

YIKES! Do I have my work cut out for me or what! Had my teaching assignment changed for this year. Headed to third grade. It always seems like so much more work when you change grade levels and classrooms. The unpacking is the worst. I have so much stuff. Gotta go... A week to go until the start of the new school year...I have a lot of work to do. The mess is below...I will post after pics when job is complete.

PEACE,
