The carpet I made to reinforce vocab during the reading and writing workshop.

Seats I made from old tires, carpet circles from Ikea, and nautical rope from Home Depot. Students loved them! One of the many flexible seating options they have to choose from.

Celebration of Student Authors 2020

 Each year students are asked to choose their favorite piece of writing and revise that piece to create a picture book. Their books are displayed for Author's Night, a schoolwide event. Below are some examples of the work from the students in my class. 

S.T.E.A.M. in our Classroom

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) has always empowered me to plan for and implement project-based learning situations that encompass all five areas and therefore promote an inclusive learning environment in which ALL of the students in my class are able to engage and contribute.  Students loved working through PBL and STEAM projects and the learning was endless.
